Hot Chocolate Sugar Cookie Recipe!

One of best feelings during the winter months is cozying-up with a warm cup of hot chocolate by a fire place watching the snow fall. Living in Florida, hot chocolate is only enjoyed at a local ice rink that stays cold! These hot chocolate sugar cookies are flavored with actual hot cocoa packets to give cookies that amazing flavor in beverage form or cookie form! Let me know how you your hot chocolate after you try the recipe out for yourself!

  1. In a mixer, with paddle attachment, cream together butter and the two sugars. Mix until all is fluffy and well incorporated.
  2. Add egg, vanilla extract, and hot cocoa mix envelopes. Mix until it is all well incorporated.
  3. Add flour, mixing a cup at a time, to the butter/sugar/egg mixture. Stop the mixer & mix the walls of the bowl, then add more flour. When the dough starts to form into a ball collecting from the sides of the bowl. After well mixed, the dough should be non-greasy to the touch.
  4. Stir in marshmallow bits & chocolate chips.
  5. Lay out parchment paper. Sprinkle some flour on paper & rolling pin. Dump the dough on the parchment paper & begin to kneed. Roll to thickness of your liking between. I like my cookies at 1/4 of an inch.
Cut out shapes and place them on a parchment paper.
Bake at 375 degrees for 7-9 minutes. Remove cookies from the oven before the edges turn golden brown. Let the cookie cool before transferring them to the wire rack.
